Enjoy the taste and brilliance of the season at lunchtime with the new menu item "Shunka" at Japanese Hanagoyomi
THE KAHALA HOTEL & RESORT YOKOHAMA (Address: 1-1-3 Minatomirai, Nishi-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture / General Manager: Yasutoshi Abe), which celebrated its 5th anniversary in September 2025, will be renovating its popular "Hana Chazen" (Flower Chazen) menu at its Japanese Hanagoyomi, and introducing a new lunch menu, "Shunka," starting on Friday, April 3, 2026.
Japanese Hanagoyomi that focuses on seasonal flavors and presentations that allow you to sense the season at a glance. Chef Nobuhiro Aoki carefully prepares the ingredients and adds minimal touches at the optimal time to bring out the natural flavors of the ingredients.
"Shunka" is a daytime re-arrangement of selected dishes from the evening kaiseki course, with the addition of a dessert cart, allowing diners to enjoy both the flow of the kaiseki and a lingering, elegant aftertaste at the same time. Japanese Hanagoyomi Kareki, with each dish reflecting the season's expression. To conclude the meal, which incorporates ingredients at their peak of flavor and local bounty throughout, a dessert cart, a favorite at Hana Chazen, is served. The enjoyment of selecting your favorite sweet will add a touch of elegance to your afternoon. Cuisine that makes the most of "seasonal" ingredients and a presentation that is "elegant." "Shunka," a combination of these two words, is a new proposal that allows diners to experience the flavors and aesthetic sense of Japanese Hanagoyomi more closely.
