One-day cocktail event "The Session #21 – HENNESSY NIGHT -" featuring a collaboration between two international cocktail competition winners
THE KAHALA HOTEL & RESORT YOKOHAMA Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture / General Manager: Yasutoshi Abe), which will celebrate its 5th anniversary in September 2025, will host a one-day-only cocktail event, "The Session #21 – HENNESSY NIGHT –," at THE KAHALA Lounge on Friday, November 21, 2025.

"The Session" is a one-day collaboration event featuring renowned top bartenders. This year's 21st event will be held in cooperation with MHD Moët Hennessy Diageo Co., Ltd., and will feature Haruna Sakata from Sanctuary Court Lake Biwa (Resort Trust Co., Ltd.). Sakata is a promising bartender who won the Japan Final of the Hennessy cocktail competition "#HennessyMyWay 2025" held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, and is currently competing in the Global Final in France from Monday, October 27 to Friday, October 31. This event will feature the cocktail "Meguru," which won first place in the competition, as well as new creations that will be showcased at the global convention.
Additionally, THE KAHALA Lounge is staffed by Yuya Takahashi, who was crowned world champion at the same competition in 2024. This collaboration will allow you to fully enjoy the individual personalities of both artists and the charm of Hennessy.

The drink was named "Meguru" to evoke the three cycles of ingredients, locality, and passion. The deep and complex flavor of Hennessy XO is combined with the ingredients to create a drink that evokes memories and time.

■ Profile of Haruna Sakata
Originally from Wakayama Prefecture, he joined Resorttrust Co., Ltd. in 2022 after graduating from university. He was assigned to XIV Kyoto Yase Rikyu and decided to become a bartender, believing that it would be the place where he could work closest to the customers. He obtained his HBA Junior Bartender certification within a year, and began his career as a bartender in earnest. In 2024, he placed in the top 10 in his first attempt at the competition to determine Japan's representative at the MONIN CUP 2024, an international tournament held by a global syrup manufacturer. He continued to hone his skills by actively competing in various cocktail competitions. In 2024, he was assigned to the lobby lounge bar at Sanctuary Court Biwako as an opening member. He aims to reach the world from a new beginning.
