Pineapples, oranges, and other fruits and vegetables not consumed at the hotel's buffet will be refrigerated and donated to Yokohama Zoo's Zoorasia to be used as snacks for the animals at a night event being held this summer. During the event, zookeepers will hold a special guided tour to explain the process of how food is delivered from the hotel to the zoo, creating an opportunity for visitors to deepen their understanding of reducing food waste and recycling resources.

<About the Yokohama City Resource Recycling Promotion Platform>
It was launched in October 2024 by seven waste disposal companies in Yokohama City (J&T Environment Co., Ltd. / Shunju Shoji Co., Ltd. / Yokohama Environmental Conservation Co., Ltd. / Takematsu Shoji Co., Ltd. / K Environmental Planning Co., Ltd. / ecomate LLC / Goon Corporation). Yokohama City has signed collaboration agreements with the seven companies and is supporting the operation of the platform. The Yokohama City Resource Recycling Promotion Platform promotes collaborative efforts between arterial industries, which manufacture products within the city, and venous industries, which recycle products after they become waste, in order to revitalize the resource recycling industry and promote Yokohama City's resource recycling policies.
