The Session #21
-HENNESSY NIGHT-
The Session is a one-night-only collaboration event featuring renowned top bartenders. This year's 21st installment, in cooperation with MHD Moët Hennessy Diageo Co., Ltd., will feature Haruna Sakata from Sanctuary Court Lake Biwa (Resort Trust Co., Ltd.). This promising bartender won the Japan Final of the Hennessy cocktail competition "#HennessyMyWay2025" held this summer and will represent Japan at the Global Final, held in France from October 27th (Mon) to 31st (Fri). This event will feature the Japan-winning cocktail "Meguru," as well as new creations debuting at the Global Competition. Additionally, THE KAHALA Lounge is home to Yuya Takahashi, who was crowned the world's best at the 2024 Global Final. This collaboration will fully showcase the unique personalities of both bartenders and the allure of Hennessy.

[Guest Bartender] Haruna Sakata Profile
Originally from Wakayama Prefecture, he joined Resorttrust Co., Ltd. in 2022 after graduating from university. He was assigned to XIV Kyoto Yase Rikyu and decided to become a bartender, believing that it would allow him to work closest to the customers. He obtained his HBA Junior Bartender certification within a year and began full-scale training as a bartender. In 2024, he placed in the top 10 in the competition to determine Japan's representative at the international syrup manufacturer's convention, the MONIN CUP 2024. In his first competition, he joined the ranks of Japan's top bartenders. He continued to hone his skills by actively competing in various cocktail competitions. In 2024, he was assigned to the lobby lounge bar at Sanctuary Court Biwako as an opening member. He aims to reach the world from a new perspective.
