THE KAHALA HOTEL & RESORT YOKOHAMA will host an art exhibition and sales event by artist tiki in support of activities that support children and work to improve the environment through art. tiki has consistently created artwork based on the theme of "Treasure Chests in the Sky." These paintings express his wish for a future where children can freely fill their treasure chests with whatever they like, and a portion of the proceeds will be used to support activities that foster creativity, such as donating art supplies to children in Yokohama. tiki says, "I want to be someone who inspires many children to pursue a career as an artist," and he continues to work to support activities through art. Due to the influence of the new coronavirus while working as a soccer player in Germany The league match was cancelled, so he returned to Japan temporarily. He was so moved by an artwork he saw on social media that he decided to quit soccer after 18 years. He decided to stop making art and started his career as an artist. He has consistently drawn children holding treasure chests, He has created a variety of expressive works, including a sculpture series that was created by converting two-dimensional works into 3DCG images. I use the law to express children. As part of the concept of the work, I am supporting children. In April 2022, he will visit a slum in Thailand alone. They went door to door in the slums to donate food to local children. At the Barneys New York Yokohama store held in February 2024 At the solo exhibition, he donated art supplies to children at an orphanage in Yokohama. Our ultimate goal is to improve the environment for children through art. We aim to broaden the options available to each child.
