Yuya Takahashi joins THE KAHALA Lounge

Bartender Yuya Takahashi, who won the overall championship at #HennessyMyWay2024, a global cocktail competition hosted by the world-famous cognac brand Hennessy, has joined THE KAHALA Lounge. To commemorate this, the cocktail that won the world championship at the competition, "Tinctura," will be added to the bar menu from Wednesday, July 16, 2025. Please enjoy this one-of-a-kind taste.

◆Tinctura
Using Japanese ingredients such as roasted green tea, soybean tea, and Japanese pepper, the roasted, spicy, and fruity flavors of Hennessy XO, which come from its long aging period, are highlighted. The diverse cultural backgrounds of the ingredients are beautifully fused to create a glamorous experience, and the cocktail-making process was impressive, almost like a delicate ritual. This drink was highly praised not only for its taste, but also for its memorable experience and performance. "Tinctra" means the "philosopher's stone," a legendary substance said to bring immortality, and the name comes from the fact that the brandy, the base of the cocktail, is said to have originated as an elixir of immortality.

Born in Iwate Prefecture in 1992. In his early 20s, he honed his restaurant service skills at over a dozen hotels across Japan, mainly resort hotels. In 2020, he joined Resort Trust Co., Ltd. and began his career as a bartender when he was assigned to the bar at the members-only resort hotel XIV Arima Rikyu. He will take up his current position in July 2025.
