What is Hometown Support Tax?
Hometown Support Tax® is a new service that enables you to make an on-the-spot donation to your local government when paying for accommodation, restaurants, and other things at your travel destination.
You can choose the hometown where you were born and raised, or the local government you want to support, and by making a donation you can receive a reduction (deduction) in your resident tax in the local government where you live, or a refund (refund) on your income tax from the tax office.
*With hometown tax, any donations made to local governments in a year that exceed 2,000 yen are, in principle, fully deductible from income tax and resident tax up to a certain limit.
Please make sure to apply for the tax deduction yourself by utilizing the One-Stop Special System or filing your tax return. Please note that the tax deduction is not applied automatically.
Participation in "Dokodemo Tax" - a local payment hometown tax payment system
The Kahala Hotel & Resort Yokohama will participate in the "Dokodemo Nozei" program, which allows visitors to make local hometown tax payments when they visit Yokohama City.
If you register and make a donation via the electronic coupon site below, you will be issued an electronic coupon as a thank you gift immediately after your donation. You can use this coupon at the front counter when paying at checkout.
When using the coupon, please tell the front desk staff that you would like to use an electronic coupon.

Hometown tax payments can only be made by credit card (you can choose your payment method at the front desk for the difference in the hotel accommodation fee after using the coupon)

(Those whose resident card is registered in Yokohama City as of January 1 of the following year cannot use this service.)
*Prepayment is not available. Payment can only be made on-site.
