Ken Matsudaira Profile
Born in 1953 in Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture. Debuted in 1975 in the TV series "Zatoichi Monogatari: Shinju Aiyabushi."
He starred in the period drama series "Abarenbou Shogun" for about 25 years (a total of 832 episodes).
In 2020, he launched his own YouTube channel, "Matsuken Tube."
Starting in April of this year, he will also be appearing in the "Matsuken Walk" segment of Tokai TV's information program "Switch!", where he introduces the three Tokai prefectures while taking a stroll.
In terms of stage performances, he has been active in a wide range of productions, from period dramas to musicals, including "Welcome, Minato Sensei," "Makai Tensho," and "Kiss Me Kate."
His song and dance debut, "Matsuken Samba II," released in 2004, sparked a huge boom and led to him appearing twice on the NHK "Kohaku Uta Gassen" in 2004 and 2021.
Okano Brothers Profile
The group has won numerous awards at national Tsugaru shamisen competitions, and has performed at Swiss Park, the Aichi Expo, on the stage of Kyoto's Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and at the National Tree-Planting Festival, which was the Emperor's first official engagement outside the prefecture since his accession to the throne, among other venues both in Japan and abroad.
Believing in the charm and potential of the shamisen, he began performing on the streets while still a student.
Currently, in addition to concerts and live performances, the group is also focusing on school performances and overseas performances.
In 2015, the Okano Brothers received the Popular Culture and Welfare Support Award.
