4th Anniversary Limited Promotion

Held on September 21st, 22nd, and 23rd!

The Kahala Hotel & Resort Yokohama opened in Yokohama Minato Mirai in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, and has inherited the "Spirits" of the Hawaiian Kahala origins in the five petals, and will celebrate its fourth anniversary on Monday, September 23, 2024 (national holiday), with the support of many customers. The theme of the fourth anniversary promotion, which was realized based on the actual feedback from customers and the hotel staff who sincerely interact with customers every day with various thoughts in mind, is [TSUNAGARU].
We have prepared a variety of programs so that all participants can connect and have fun together, and we look forward to your visit. The friendly destination hotel "The Kahala Hotel & Resort Yokohama" will take a new step towards the next generation in commemoration of its 4th anniversary, with the hope that everyone will feel free to come and have warm memories during their stay.

1. KAKAAKO CAFE Hawaii
Currently located in the Kakaako area, Hawaii's most fashionable and hottest spot, "KAKAAKO CAFE" is a shop beloved by locals that is bustling with them every day, with over 90% of its customers being repeat customers.
In collaboration with the Kahala Hotel & Resort Yokohama, the KAKAAKO CAFE will be available in Japan. In addition to drinks including the popular menu items from the main store, the cafe will also be selling original non-alcoholic cocktails.

2. Sea Nalua
Attracted by the ocean in Hawaii and Okinawa, where she visited on family vacations, she began working as an ocean resin artist in 2021. She sells her works under the brand name "Sea Nalua," which combines the Hawaiian words "nalu" (wave) and "luana" (having fun together).
It expresses the clear ocean and dynamic waves of Hawaii and Okinawa. In addition, Sea Nalua 's original sea art, which uses natural shells and changes sparkle depending on the angle, is very popular. The art is characterized by the way the surface of the sea seems to sparkle.

3. Hale Pua Hawaii
Halepua Hawaii means a house where flowers bloom in Hawaiian. Located in Funabashi City, it is a Hawaiian wedding consultation room and a classroom where you can enjoy Hawaiian handmade crafts and Hawaiian culture in a small group setting, focusing on one-off lessons.
In Hawaii, leis are sent to loved ones with messages such as "thank you," "congratulations," and "welcome." This workshop will allow you to experience the aloha spirit of Hawaii by stringing together candy leis made from candies and gummies that are easy for children to enjoy.

4. Lea Makana
Hawaiian tableware that will make you feel like you are in Hawaii even while at home. The brand name Lea Makana means happiness (lea) and gift (makana) in Hawaiian, and it is meant to convey the idea that it is a talisman that brings happiness to the person who owns it. You can create your own original tableware by sticking transfer paper with your favorite pattern on Hawaiian porcelain. It is a special experience that allows even beginners to easily make wonderful Hawaiian tableware. The finished work is fired at 800 degrees to completion.

Everyone's [TSUNAGARU] Stage Event

The spirit behind [TSUNAGARU] is "Kahala's OHANA". Since the opening of Kahala Hawaii about 60 years ago, we have inherited and will continue to express the origins that have been carefully passed down.

1. ALOHA HULA

I personally teach each and every class the traditional Hawaiian culture of HULA and its wonderful teachings that I learned from Kumu Hula (Leialoha Lim Amina). I teach with care and attention to the process in order to dance a HULA that is graceful, sincere, beautiful, and memorable. With the spirit of ALOHA (kindness, harmony, cheerfulness, humility, patience) in our hearts, I value each and every member of HALAU (Hula) being united in spirit like OHANA (family).

Hawaiian DJ Night (Days 1 and 3)

He started his DJ career in 2008. In 2015, he became the Japanese champion in the DJ battle held by Miller, a major American beer brand, and represented Japan at the world championships. In 2016, he appeared at the world-famous music festivals "ULTRA" and "EDC", and was also invited to play at the mega club "Privilege" in Ibiza, Spain. As a producer-DJ, he produces music for many artists, and is also active in a wide range of fields, appearing on radio programs and teaching at a DJ school.

3. Hawaiian DJ Night (Day 2)
Main DJ: MIDORI

Born in 1991 in Yugawara, Kanagawa Prefecture. After graduating from high school, he went to the United States and entered the University of Hawaii. After six years as a DJ in Hawaii, he is now working to popularize Hawaiian reggae in Japan. He appears on radio programs, at Hawaiian festivals around the country, and at events in his hometown of Yugawara. On social media, he posts about the Hawaiian music scene and recommends songs.

The entire building will be filled with original limited edition drinks from [TSUNAGARU!]

The restaurant staff at The Kahala Hotel & Resort Yokohama have come up with an original non-alcoholic drink for three days only. The drink is inspired by the colors of the rainbow that connects Hawaii and Yokohama, and is created based on the image of the rainbow that can be seen after the rain and is close to the ocean.
