New product "Kahala Fromage"
Newly released for eat-in and take-out
The Kahala Hotel & Resort Yokohama's proud head patisserie Chef Takada Kazuya, has launched his specialty baked cheesecake, "THE KAHALA FROMAGE," which he has created with his many years of experience and his whole heart and soul, for the first time this summer as a take-out item.
This is an original baked cheesecake that was created with Chef 's whole heart and soul, and was the result of repeated trial and error with the desire to "make something purely delicious."
The batter is a blend of cream cheese, fresh French fromage blanc, and crème double (high-fat cream) to bring out its richness, with fresh eggs from Sagamihara called "Keiju eggs" added, which are then mixed smoothly to avoid introducing air. No granulated sugar or other refined sugar is added, but honey and white chocolate are added to add sweetness and richness. The balance of aroma, mellowness, and acidity is achieved with vanilla and lemon, and the cake is baked in a water bath to create a moist and smooth baked cheesecake.
The crunchy base of the cake adds a crunchy texture. The cake is made using "Vergeoises," an unrefined, mineral-rich sugar from France extracted from sugar beets, to create a rich, nutritious flavor.
The simple and smooth taste is loved by people of all ages and genders, and goes well with tea and coffee, as well as champagne and dry white wine.
