The Kahala Note Couture Experience

The Kahala Hotel & Resort Yokohama offers a special experience activity [The Kahala Note Couture Experience] where you can make a special notebook in collaboration with stationery specialty store Ginza Itoya and even customize a ballpoint pen. At the Motomachi store of "Itoya", a stationery specialty store founded in 1901, you can sometimes enjoy making "notebooks", an item that will take you back to your childhood, and now guests can also enjoy making special "ballpoint pens". We will guide you through the experience. The shop's staff will help you create your own original notebook one-on-one, and you can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere that you can only get on weekdays. Enjoy a stay in Motomachi, Yokohama, which is a little far from the city, touring the historic shopping district, and enjoy a stay that is perfect for a workday where you can switch on and off without wasting time, or enjoy the nearby tourist attractions together.

In addition, all guests staying during this period will receive a memo book with the logo of The Kahala Hotel & Resort Yokohama, which was created in collaboration with stationery specialty store Ginza Itoya, as a gift. One book per room, first come first served. Distribution will end when the limited number is reached.
About “The Kahala Note Couture Experience”
Notebooks and pens are one of the tools that help us organize our thoughts, write down inspiration, and boost creativity. If you can use something that makes your heart flutter every time you hold it in your hand, it's something that you can't do without every day.
"The Kahala Note Couture Experience" is a custom order experience for notebooks and pens that fulfills such wishes.
"Note Couture" allows you to create a semi-custom A5 size, ring-bound original notebook by combining the cover and inner paper of your choice. We will make your own original notebook that you can enjoy the design while valuing the functionality and usability. In addition to the basic elements that affect the comfort of use, such as the texture of the paper and ruled lines, we also offer options that are easier to use and can be arranged in your own way, such as a cover with beautiful colors, fasteners that can be applied to the cover, and foil printing.
[Note Couture]
1. Select the front and back covers of your notebook.
2. Choose the binding ring color from 4 colors.
3. Select the inner paper. Choose from three types of ruled lines and a variety of paper qualities to use for the inner paper of your notebook.
4. It is also possible to combine multiple types of paper and specify the order of the selected paper. (in units of 10 sheets)
5. Please choose the clasp or foil print (foil stamping) according to your preference.
If you want to attach a clasp to your notebook: You can choose between a genuine leather clasp with a string or a rubber clasp.
When printing foil on the cover: You can also include the title of the notebook, your name, and an illustration.

[My Mighty Ballpoint Pen]
1. Select the color of the pen barrel.
2. Using the in-store simulator, freely rearrange the acrylic bars and choose the color combination of the pen barrel.
3. Select the color of the clip.
Please choose the color of the clip according to the color of the pen barrel you selected in 4 and 3.
5. Place the board with the selected color clip on the simulator and check the finished image.
6. Select the type and color of ink. You can choose between gel ink (black) and low viscosity oil-based easy flow (black, blue) ink refills.
